After upgrading your iPhone to 2.2, you found out that you can no longer run your test ipa apps that were installed using the mobileinstallation mod. So you searched the net in the hopes of finding a mobileinstallation upgrade for 2.2, right? Ok, I can give you a link to such a file (yes, it exists) that you can download and then modify your iPhone files using the tutorial I made here. Or I can show you an easier way.
Of course you want the easier way… so here’s how.
Add the hackulo.us repo (cydia.hackulo.us) to your Cydia Sources.
Install the following files:
- miPatch
- Installous
- Appshare (Update: Appshare is no longer available in Cydia. Function has been integrated in Installous!)
That’s it!
Of course, if you haven’t done it already, you need to install at least one app from the App Store (a free app is ok) before you can use your test ipa apps.
Use Appshare to download or directly install from a list of ipa apps.
Use Installous to view a list of all the ipa files you have downloaded from Appshare and install what you like. download or directly install from a list of ipa apps.
From your iPhone, you can sync these apps to iTunes.
The good news is, if you have a favorite web site from which to download these ipa apps, you can still do so and copy them to iTunes. Sync with your iPhone as usual and you’re good to go!

actually no this is all bullshit I tried this three days ago, and all sources have been shut down. So try it again or somethin or this is fucked

Some downloaded apps never appear in download section of installous.
is it a bugg?
I will keep trying with more apps to get any conclusion.
The file doesnt show up if it is not .ipa ; some donload link lead to .zip or .rar files.
Go to Download folder and unzip/unrar the files, thats all.
ive done everything by the book i cant get appshare i got only installous how do i get appshare

I was installing Installous and I was at the part where it's installing the files so I have to wait right before the part where i press “return to cidya” only the screen went white for a split second then black. My ipodtouch 2g shut off on my..So now i redo my jailbreak to get it up and running. I'm at the part where i'm about to see my home screen but the white Apple logo is just sitting there, looking at me as if taunting me. It won't get back to the home screen. About 2-3 minutes go by and it just shuts off and I have to rejailbreak it. This app worked the first time without a problem but I had to restore then rejailbreak for other reasons so this is my second time installing this app. Any ideas that doesn't involve restoring and jailbreaking?
I have instakked according to recommended steps. But my 'downloads' page is empty with no list of appliation in Installous. I am having 3G I phone OS 2.2 and Installous v.2.0.1. Please help.

How to install the installous application.? I am using iPod touch 2G jailbreaked. I have cydia and installer. How to get installous? I like to add sources in cydia (Manage option). But it says”Did not find repositor”. Please help me. How to add it?

not all apps after installation work!! that is it installs completely and when u want to use it it kinda acts like its about to start then goes back to the iphone home page with icons on it…. some programs install correctly just that some dont esp. the expensive ones……..

after i install a game through installous it did not show up on my desktop, but when i go into boss prefs i can see the game icon there but just not on my phone desktop screen, and i cant open the game.. any idea why?

thanks everyone for posting answers! Honestly i jailed broke about 7 Itouches. I came across one that gave my issues. Idea how i managed in the past but i never had to install a game from the itune stores to get Installous to work. Atleast I dont remember doing that. Well thanks everyone!

I'm really stuck on this! Please help me. I've got iphone 3g, 16gb, jailbroken and unlocked. After I installed boss prefs and clicked on it, the iphone froze and now when I try to turn it on, it switches on, but the only thing that happens is that I get the Apple logo. That's it! nothing else happens. Tried to connect it to itunes, but itunes doesn't pick the iphone up, so I can't restore it. getting really frustrated on this. My iphone became a rock! Can't do anything with it. Can you please help?!

installous wont download. it goes to last step of downloading. the one right after you have to type in what u seen in the little box that is case sensitive. so the white bar comes up wont fill and then says like 3050 downloaded. will not show any thing else and wont download anything. how to fix?

thats gay .. thats basically the point i got to aswell .. a resume function would be awesome. especially since u start getting a large list of apps after a while .. and the incomplete downloads stay and u have no way of knowing if they are complete downloads or not..
