What happened to this app? I can't find it but Caissa looks nicer than what's up there now.

Can I send you code for Caissa Pro. I think you review was the best and I would love you to have newer version. It is compatible with 3.0 which opens the whole world of opportunities for us. Please let me know where I can send you the gift code.

Yes. it is. We released Caissa Chess Pro few days ago. Funny how other people claim their software does that others don't. Hehehe. Even today, Caissa is light years ahead. Caissa pro has strongest engine(if you don't mind to wait, it calculates next move while you think by predicting what you would do). We have 76 chess compositions, 2010 chess opeinings, PGN export, play by email feature, puzzle solver, custom board editor, very slick UI and contemporary graphics. At least 2 Grandmaster and a President of East Europe country enjoy it casually.

If you're interested in iPhone chess, my new game "tChess Pro" just went up on the App Store.

It's over 380 ELO points stronger than Caissa Chess, it has special features for beginners, and it's the only iPhone chess program that can be used for chess analysis.

Try the new game called Chess Pro on the App Store from 99Games Online. It too has multiple levels, has a few interesting variants not found in other App Store versions and costs a decent $3.99

This review made my day. There is imposed limit for thinking at level 14, it does not think for more than 10 sec or it doesn't ponder while you thinking (to preserve your battery life). I don't know if you noticed, but caissa hardly affects your battery life even if you playing hours. Caissa knows about 2500 chess openings in its database and changes its strategy based on previous results. It has self improving algorithm that collects statistics and prevents from repeating once made mistakes.

"Drag and drop" with offset was designed for one hand operation(if you ride NYC subway like me you'd love it). The trick is to hold your phone and operate with thumb. Classic chess was ported from a different platform, and Caissa is native to the platform. Hence the difference in size 72 vs 1.6 MB. They need to run virtual machine that is capable running iphone 5.5G soft on iphone.
In version 2.1.1 games can be exported to PGN and chess players can play against their opponents via email. Few more features are shaping as we speak.
Loyal readers of this blog will have exclusive sneap peak preview of our online chess puzzle site:

http://ioffe.dev-hda.com/cgi-bin/caissa/allpuzz...

//use mobilesafari.app to load puzzles into Caissa.

Regards,
-B
