Very useful article man! You really helped me because I have some problems with updating my Hackintosh with OS X 10.5.5 but now everything works perfectly. Well I am a beginner in this sphere that is why sometimes I have some small problems with working with various software. Thanks for the informative article again!

to install 10.5.5. directly to my PC (through the retail disc) should i just replace Step 3, with the 10.5.5 (Combo) instead of the 10.5.4?

You mean you didn't know? Of course you can! People have been doing it for some time. I've done it with the 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 updates!

Using PC_EFI with boot_v8.

I updated my system from kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 sucessfully, but whem i try to 10.5.5 i cant boot up anymore

If you mean by using Software Update alone, I don't think so. You need to do the netkas procedure or wait for a 10.5.5 patch. Search for "Mysticus" in Insanelymac.com, I think he already has a patch.
