you have to type -v and -f? or either or?

and i update from 10.5.2 to 10.5.6 and i get stuck at the apple logo!

it keeps spinning the thing below the apple logo and then after a while on the apple logo
there is like a no sign!

please help me fix this!
PLEASE
i tried -f -r -x -v

nothing works

I get the Apple logo with spinning wheel after updating from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6. I restarted with the -v -f option but to no avail. Any idea on what's gone wrong?

I don't believe AMD processors are supported in OSX only intel. I could be wrong though.
